I have been inspired by the online classes and artwork from artist Flora Bowley. After enrolling in a number of online courses, I learned about creating depth and mystery by constantly painting over my work, building up many layers while leaving some of the previous layers exposed. My art is very vibrant and is inspired by imagery and color from nature. I work primarily with acrylic paint but I am not embarrassed to use an abundance of glitter in my art! I love how the use of glitter, metallic paint and iridescent paint catches the light and allows the painting to dramatically change, depending upon the light source.
